Mr Dear Son
I was very pleased to t recieve your long + well written letter
on Tuesday + think you excelled yourself it was both clear
+ concise + expressed farly well what I think you wished
to convey at the same time I think you where somewhat
dispondent at the time you wrote it + apparantly disapponted
at Being posted to the M T This was also apparant it the
post Card you sent previous to the letter + which reached
us on Sunday- I would like to impress upon you at this
moment not at any time to
exepanticipate the worstkeep a Stiff Bottom Lip - Dont Grouse -Make no Confidant
+ what you think the Best go for it for all you are worth
The Magonly of Men Meet More Trouble than ever happens
I can Quite understand that after knobing about as you
did last week that you where conscious to get settled
down as soon as possible + that you last week experiance
would be a trying one +
that+ Grove Park would nothave a very cheerful welcome for you
butafter thisnew + bring experiance still it is the system + I do not
know how one can smooth out the rough plause any
better than you can do this for yourself + I do think
that after the strangeness wears off your temperment is
such that you will adapt yourself to your changed
conditions sufficently to make them
sitseafairly acceptablyI was very interested in your Test
frueat Woolwich Ido not know wheather you had shown the tester the Blue
fruts of the Connectg Rod Forgeys but if you did I then
the man did Quite Right in Selecting that as a Contrast
