I received this morning
and I must say you
are a real good Love.
to write to me so often
and to let me know
how you are doing
for I fretted a lot
after you going back
I think that was the

your Father + Mother were
glad to hear you are well
also Mrs. Fay. Nan Nannie
Neddy. Johnnie Keegan and
Minnie , Well my Darling
you tell me you will
Send me the price of a
new Dress but you have
been very good to me
since you went back
I hope you won't be leaving
yourself short, everything
is so very dear here/
it does not be easy
getting it. I had to pay
22 Shillings for a pair of
Sunday boots, but I will
have it to say you
bought me the Dress
I will be swanky when
you come home

aught to take me out
there for the good of my
health. I would get a
bit of flesh on. I suppose
you will be bigger than
John Bull when you come
home, you have me a
hard task. looking for
Tobacco. as it is very
scarce but I am
making out a few
ounces for you I am
sending your watch and
tobacco together

and Bovril after
it so be on the
look out for them
I sent you the Argus
this two weeks.
