April 26th (contd.)
My Platoon for breastworks @
7-35, I took letters to post @
3pm. also prisoners rations, I
went to bed @ 10 pm.
April 27th
I rose @ 6-30 pm & collected names#
of those going sick @ 7 am.
I had breakfast @ 7-30 am eggs
& Bacon. I took over the guard
@ 10-30 am, & handed over @ 11-30,
received an issue of cigarettes @ 12
noon. I had dinner @ 1 pm. Took
out going mail to Orderly Room
Q 2 pm. paraded with the coy
@ 8-30 for trenches arrived in
trenches @ 10 pm. went to 10-30.
April 24. I was on duty till 2 am.
from 12 mid. Stood to arms @
3-30 am, Went to bed @ 4-30
am. Breakfast @ 9, No
aeroplanes up before noon, Wrote
3 letters &1 P.C. to parents, Jennie,
Bob & Ernie. Dinner @ 12-50 pm
took the sick to 1st aid post -
