Joseph Coughlin's war postcards
Title in English
Cards for my dearest Ally
Joseph Coughlin was my mother's uncle, and was in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers. He worked with a horse and cart when he came back from serving on the Western Front, and lived for many years after the war. Joseph used to drink with Matt Talbot.
These postcards were sent to his sweetheart, and later wife, Ally (Alice). Joe suggested she buy a postcard album, and sent her different examples of postcards for it.
