My dear Mother & Dad

                                       Just a few lines to let you know that I have recievied your letters alright which I was very pleased to get, so sorry I have not been able to write you a letter for a few days as I have been away and havent had the time, & as I have got the day off today, I thought I would write you a letter as quick as I could, & I hope that all at home are still keeping well as I am glad to say that it leaves me in the best of health at present, the weather here is not quite so grand today as it has been
