Too the Boys of Old Ireland

Heres to ht Boys of the Irish Brigade

Who fought like Bretons, and never afraid.

They always showed willing

And not one did shark

When they made that brave charge at Feshibert.

Rifles did rattle and Guns they did yell

And hundreds of lids for thousand then fell.

But we all wait in hope

And to God we do pray

To meet our brave Camrades

In Heaven some day.


By one of the few that was left to tell the tale.

Gunner, and Rangetaker Jones, J.C. 251. M.G. boy

Late of the ... Irish King, Spool Regt.

Wounded at Festubert 16th May 1915, also at ...
