My Dear Annie
I have just received
your letter and was delighted to hear from
you. like you too Annie I sometimes can
hardly believe my darling is dead and I
had such plans made for going home
I suppose are
I have already written you on the 1st of
this month and I'm hoping you can
see your way to agree to my proposal
You may be sure Annie my Baby will
be alright should anything happen to
me. She is a dear legacy from my wife
and will alway be doubly dear to me
I shall have to be Father and Mother to
her so that when my time comes I can
go with joy in my heart. Annie if
