1917

31

October + November

to take what steps we

reasonably think necessary

Each weekend we continued

to dig up and sell,

our workers being always

busy, bringing to the Hut

cabbages Turnips celery etc.

up to October 30th we had

taken over - 50 £

Some members purchased

1 cwts of Potatoes and Turnips

1 cwt = 1 hundredweight = 112 pounds

to help the to tide over

the coming winter (a very

good idea) It also enabled

us to dispose of our produce

quicker knowing the limited

time we had to sell.
