"Oh the gallons, we have carried

100 yds. at a stretch, have we

walked with the watering

can. Perhaps if it had been B---  beer? brandy? 

that was required to soak them

help. We also had the celery

to set that R. Dickenson brought

from Oswaldtwistle our best thanks

are due to him, for his time and

labour in setting them, and his

diligent attention in the growing
