Councils representatives,
impressed the idea to the
inhabitants at the Club,
and other places, of the
imperative need of growing
potatoes etc. to assist in
defeating the terrible
submarine menace, which
the German pirates, were
staggering the world with
at this time. There was no
doubt, that the cultivation
of land, proved an
absolute necessity, for every
pound weight of potatoes
