  Lying in hospital back from the front
  

  Greatly considered quite a good stint,
  

  For a rest & a change seems glory to me
  

  But I'm wondering how long it will be.
  

  It seemed years I was over the sea,
  

  Sniping at Hans from tree to tree,
  

  But when shells & bullets came whizzing at me,
  

  I had to quit, but laughed with glee
