1st Siege Co.,

Royal Anglesey R. E.

B. E. F., FRANCE

Monday

Dear Mother,

I duly received your letter of the

10th inst. yesterday, and was glad to hear

that all was going well at home, and the

various invalids recovering. I trust that

by this time they are all going about their

usual duties, none the worse of their illness.

It is good to hear that you are keeping so

well yourself, able for your Sunday walk

and two visits to the Kirk. If you keep

up that form, I can see hopes of you

making a visit to France yet! I am

sorry your patience is wearing out at my

not coming home, but my case is just like

many others - I am "trapped" for the armies

of occupation and will be held for as

long as the Army people like to hold me - unless

I can "pull the wires" from the home end.

We'll give Dr. Williamson another chance
