at Downing Point.
I'm wondering where you are
now, & how you took the news
of the armistice. Are you still in
Britain or "over there"? It gives me
great satisfaction to think that
there'll be no fighting to do
now, & that if you are across
there it will be more in the
nature of one of our navy trips
- "seeing the world in comfort".
I suppose that, like myself
you won't be expecting to be
released from service for at
least 6 months more? Do you
know I've already been debating
with myself whether I shall
take up teaching again! After
my short time in the 'King's
Navee' I've come to the conclus-
ion that I used to take life
a bit too seriously (after 4 pm each
day, not before!) & I intend taking
it just a wee bit easier in future.
