My Dearest Nellie
Just a P.C. hoping you and baby also
all at home are in the best of health and happy
as possible. am glad to say I am still in the pink.
and plenty of work. shall be so glad when the
parcel comes through with some tobacco etc in. as
do miss my smoking. shall be able to write a letter
next week I think then will be able to say more.
please tell them all that I have not forgotten them
my thoughts are always with you all at home. shall
be so glad when we begin our journey to England.
but must keep smiling I suppose. and think
myself lucky to be alive and well. I hope Herbert
is a good little boy to his dear mother. good bye. dear
for this time love. from your ever loving loyal and affectionate
