Dear Brother/
I was very pleased to hear from you
and that you are going on alright I am very
sorry that I have not been able to write to
you but I have been working till nine o'clock
at night and it is nearly half-past when
I get home. It does not give me much time
to do anything but I will do my best to write
to you more often I know it is hard for
you to be away from us especially where you
are but don't think that you are forgotten at
all for you are always first in my thoughts
and also in the others. We are always thinking
of you and praying that you are safe, so try
and cheer up and we trust hope that it will
soon come to an end and then you will be
able to come back to us.
Everything in the garden us going on nicely , I have
had some nice carnations and roses, and father
took some to show Mr Hall and he said they
were very nice he couldn't get his to do any good
I daresay you know we are going to Stratford for
the week. I wish you were coming with us this
year for I don't think I shall enjoy myself
half so well this time.
