Dear Sister
Just a few lines thanking
you both for your letters, camp life
is alright but its the work we
get to do, we are on horses five
times a day + we get no time to
do anything, Well Sisters I am
pleased to hear the things in
the garden are doing well, I
should like to be there to look
after them, I don't think the
manure you mentioned is much
good there are plenty better
but if you have a tin use
it as ordered + water well, I
should like you to look after
the roses + lillies so that you
can have a few flowers,
2/
I don't know how long I shall
be here but there are a lot
of new chaps coming up, they
say that Preston is only going
to be a receiving station +
we shall be moved to another
depot before we go out but of
course so to that I can't say
Well Sisters I tried for a week
and pass this week but they
say that there is non unless
on domestic reasons so I dont
suppose I shall see you remember
me to all at home trusting you
are all well, I will close with
love good night + God Bless you
