  The weather down here is glorious

  I could not wish for better,

  Also we have plenty of sports

  and I am getting very keen on

  them in fact I won't miss anything

  if I can help it, people

  who have visited Grantham call

  it the flower garden of England

  and it is so, for no one can call

  it any different. You can send

  me a little money if you can

  spare it, because I can't get down

  unless I have 10s8d  ten shillings eight pence  which is only

  half fare it is 137 miles from

  Lpool  Liverpool , whatever you do don't 

  go to any trouble to get it
